Job summary

Red Classic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment. You’ll triage, diagnose, and fix electrical and mechanical issues, documenting all work in our maintenance software for DOT compliance and follow-ups.

The role involves mentoring junior technicians, maintaining safe work practices, and keeping bays and the warehouse clean. A strong focus on accuracy and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Approximately 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Two years of post-high school education preferred.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain customer vehicles and equipment, including diesel units and trailers.
Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical issues at an intermediate level.
Log work in maintenance software to support DOT compliance and follow-ups.
Track, research, and reconcile parts inventory; escalate discrepancies as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and warehouse; assist with extra tasks.
Provide coaching to Vehicle Technicians C as needed.
