Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment in Salem, VA is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The role emphasizes strong diagnostic skills, technical ability, and pride in quality workmanship.

Your day-to-day will involve diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work thoroughly.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
• 4+ years of MIG and stick welding experience.
• 4+ years of automotive electrical experience.
• 4+ years of diesel engine repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty work trucks and equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs including inspections, fluids, lubrication, brakes, and tires.
