Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant for a 7-month assignment in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle management, depreciation, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly reporting for a global client.

Reporting to the Fixed Asset Manager, you will drive asset capitalization, disposals, and capital project oversight, including audits and variance analysis, leveraging SAP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience with fixed asset focus.
• ERP systems expertise (SAP preferred).
• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and familiarity with Power BI.
• US GAAP and IFRS, SOX controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed asset lifecycle: capitalization, disposals, transfers, and write-offs per policies and standards.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger; perform reconciliations and ensure GL accuracy.
• Monitor Capex and asset classifications; coordinate with business units and budget owners.
• Coordinate periodic physical asset audits and resolve variances.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting and KPI metrics for leadership.
