Job summary

Schuff Steel Co. is seeking an experienced Production Fitter-Welder in Utah to assemble and weld structural components for complex projects in commercial, bridge, and industrial sectors.

The role requires reading drawings, welding in multiple positions, and passing AWS D1.1 tests. A valid high school diploma or GED and 12 months of related experience are expected. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 12 months of stable work experience.
• Must pass required weld test and fitter test.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to follow safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow welding procedures (AWS, AISC) as required.
• Welds on ground level, above ground and below ground in required positions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and plans for fitting operations.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and perform routine duties as directed.
