Job summary

Schuff Steel seeks a Production Welder to join our fabrication teams building structural and bridge components. You will weld a wide range of materials using FCAW, SMAW, GMAW and SAW in all positions, following AWS and AISC procedures and passing the required weld tests.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED plus 12 months of stable work experience; AWS D1.1 certs are valued. We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive health insurance as part of a long-term career path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 12 months of stable work experience.
• Must pass required weld test.
• AWS D1.1 weld test/certification is valued or required.

Responsibilities

• Follows welding procedures (AWS, AISC).
• Welds in multiple positions and on various materials.
• Prepare, gouge, scarf, and finish welds; maintain cleanliness and safety.
