DNOW L.P. is seeking a Sr. Fitter to manufacture, fit, and assemble pressure vessel components from detailed drawings. The role involves interpreting complex blueprints, aligning parts, and performing tack-welding with precision.

You will collaborate with welders, inspectors, and engineers to ensure ASME Section VIII compliance and maintain high quality and safety standards in a heavy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fitter in a pressure vessel or heavy fabrication.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 fabrication standards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools and layout equipment.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials.
• Strong teamwork and the ability to communicate with welders, inspectors, and supervisors.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Interpret complex blueprints and ASME specs to fit and assemble vessel components.
• Lay out, align, and tack-weld parts with calipers, squares, and levels.
• Prepare and fit nozzles, flanges, and attachments with tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with welders, inspectors, and engineers for ASME compliance.
• Conduct fit-up inspections to maintain dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely (cranes, grinders, torches).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
