DistributionNOW in Tomball, TX, seeks a Sr. Fitter (1st Shift) to manufacture, fit and assemble pressure vessel components from detailed drawings and ASME specifications.

You will interpret complex blueprints, lay out and tack-weld parts using precision measuring tools, and prepare nozzles and flanges with exact tolerances. Collaborate with welders, inspectors, and engineers to ensure ASME Section VIII compliance and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fitter in pressure vessel or heavy fabrication settings.
• Ability to read complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with ASME VIII, Division 1 standards.
• Competent with precision measuring tools and layout equipment.

Responsabilités

• Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and ASME specs to fit and assemble components.
• Lay out, align, and tack-weld parts using calipers, squares, levels and measuring tools.
• Prepare and fit nozzles, flanges, and attachments with tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with welders, inspectors, and engineers to ensure ASME compliance.
• Conduct fit-up inspections and adjust to maintain dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Operate overhead cranes, grinders, and cutting torches safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
