Job summary

Weatherford in Williston, North Dakota seeks an experienced Fishing Tool Supervisor to lead field fishing and re-entry operations. You will operate and maintain fishing and re-entry equipment in remote field environments, advise clients on best practices, and support high-stakes decisions during open-hole, cased-hole fishing, and abandonment projects.

The role requires 2.5–4+ years of fishing experience, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), strong mechanical and oilfield equipment

Qualifications

• 2.5–4+ years of fishing and whipstock experience.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• General knowledge of oilfield equipment.
• Mechanical ability to perform repairs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong team player with effective collaboration.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Ability to be on-call 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Fishing and Re-entry equipment in the field.
• Provide onsite support to customers during ongoing field operations.
• Assist in testing and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
• Daily reporting of field operations for ongoing Fishing and Re-entry operations.
• Work hand in hand with the onshore operations team.
• Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
• Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis.
• Support onshore maintenance activities if required.
• Participate in all client and Weatherford safety systems during ongoing operations as required.
• Must have the ability to grasp and adapt to changing work environment and conditions.
• Must be able to perform basic problem solving and troubleshooting when needed.
• Continue training to expand knowledge and experience of Fishing and Re-entry operations and services.
• Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
• Required to work on 24-hour call status.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
