Job summary

Indiana State Budget Agency is seeking a Fiscal Analyst to review and respond to budget inquiries from state agencies, and to prepare written research and policy analysis for state leadership. The role supports biennial budget preparation, analyzes requests for compliance with state standards, and provides fiscal recommendations to the Budget Director.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in budgeting, fiscal analysis, or similar role.
• Knowledge of state budgetary process, accounting principles, state/federal rules and regulations
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills in finance, accounting, statistics, and economics
• Ability to analyze fiscal trends, project expenditures and revenues, and solve complex financial problems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access); statistical software preferred
