Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the Director of Accounting and Controllers by maintaining ledgers, coordinating with the CFO, and delivering key financial insights. This remote role offers meaningful public service and the chance to influence Indiana’s service delivery.

Applicants should have extensive PeopleSoft experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to craft strategic analyses for budgeting and grants.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and Time and Labor.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience applying accounting, auditing or financial analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

Monitor budgets, reporting, and utilization of federal and state grants.
Perform financial analysis to support procurement, contracting, and cost allocation.
Assist with budget development and implementation to align with agency goals.
Create fiscal impact statements and cost-benefit analyses for changes in laws, regulations, or policy.
