Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Firmware Verification and Bringup Engineer for its Memory Subsystem Team in California. You will lead bare-metal firmware development and pre/post-silicon validation, drive silicon bring-up, and debug complex firmware-hardware interactions.

The role requires strong C/C++/Python skills, RTL/SystemVerilog experience, and a track record in firmware verification. Collaboration across RTL, DV, emulation, and software teams is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS EE degree with focus in embedded systems (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of proven experience in low-level firmware design and verification in pre and post silicon.
• Hands-on debugging of bare-metal firmware in RTL / SystemVerilog / UVM testbenches using Verdi or equivalents.
• Excellent RTL, digital debug skills; coding in C/C++/Python.
• Experience with high-speed IO interfaces; data structures understanding.
• Experience developing firmware with AI agents is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform bare-metal firmware development for NVLINK-C2C; validate and debug firmware and silicon bring-up.
• Collaborate in pre-silicon firmware development and testing to validate features.
• Drive silicon bring-up, feature enablement, and debugging on silicon.
• Triage and resolve firmware issues observed during bring-up.
• Debug hardware/firmware interaction issues, boot and training failures; isolate root causes and drive fixes.
• Develop and maintain automation and AI-assisted flows to improve firmware development.
• Coordinate with System Software, RTL Design, DV, emulation, and post-silicon teams to unblock progress.
• Refine interface bring-up and validation strategy.
