Job summary

Viking Enterprise Solutions, part of Sanmina, is seeking a Senior Firmware Development Engineer in Colorado Springs to drive firmware design for BMC/SES and storage/server products. You will collaborate with HW and firmware teams to define requirements, develop code, and lead testing to ship on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in firmware design within large organizations, strong embedded systems expertise, and hands-on experience with BIOS/BMC firmware and related testing processes.

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Electrical engineering or computer science.
8+ years of hands-on firmware design experience in a medium or large global organization.
Strong knowledge of embedded systems and firmware development.

Responsibilities

Input on firmware design requirements with HW and firmware teams.
Prepare high-level and low-level design documents with designers.
Provide sizing and schedule estimates for tasks.
Drive firmware development from design through GA delivery.
Participate in firmware code development and reviews.
Provide weekly status updates to program management.
Support field engineers to debug customer issues at sites.
