Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Colorado Springs is seeking a Firmware Development Intern to gain hands-on experience in firmware engineering within the Viking Enterprise Solutions group. This internship offers opportunities to contribute to firmware code development and collaborate with experienced engineers on real-world hardware designs.

You will support firmware coding efforts on BMC/SES platforms, participate in debugging, testing, and documentation, and learn how enterprise hardware and software

Qualifications

• Familiarity with embedded system concepts.
• Foundational understanding of firmware development.
• Exposure to system-level debugging and scripting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist firmware architects and hardware design teams with gathering early input on firmware design requirements.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-level and low-level design documents.
• Participate in firmware code development, bug fixes, and unit testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with the project team during code reviews, hardware/firmware integration, and testing.
• Learn and assist with debugging firmware issues (BMC/SES) to support resolving technical problems.
• Provide regular status updates on assigned development tasks to project leads.
