Blue Origin is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to develop ROM code, bootloaders, and secure enclave firmware for advanced ASICs and SoCs. You will collaborate across ASIC, security, software, and system teams to specify interfaces and security requirements, and to enable OTA updates and secure lifecycle management.

The role emphasizes pre-silicon development, silicon bring-up, and hands-on debugging with JTAG, trace, logic analyzers, and emulation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software/firmware experience for SoCs/ASICs.
• Strong C/C++ programming and low-level embedded skills.
• Experience with bootloaders, ROM code, and device drivers.
• Solid understanding of embedded architectures, memory maps, interrupts.

Responsabilidades

• Develop ROM code, bootloaders, and runtime firmware for secure enclaves within custom ASICs.
• Design and implement firmware for secure boot, device attestation, and root-of-trust.
• Develop OTA updates, recovery, and secure firmware lifecycle management.
• Support provisioning: device identity, keys, credentials, and secure config.
• Develop and support secure debug, telemetry, tamper monitoring, and recovery mechanisms.
• Collaborate with ASIC, security, software, and system teams to define interfaces and security requirements.
• Support pre-silicon firmware development and validation using simulation, emulation, or FPGA.
• Assist silicon bring-up, debugging, validation, and production deployment of secure-enclave firmware.
