Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a senior firmware/embedded software engineer in the Washington DC area. You will develop firmware for display pipelines, interface with hardware accelerators, and transfer data over PCIe.

You will also create PC-based test apps and validate firmware with hardware, while documenting designs and performance analyses. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in firmware or embedded software in C/C++, 2+ years with multi-core SoCs/MCUs, and experience with Zephyr OS or RTOS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of firmware or embedded software in C/C++.
• Experience with multi-core SoCs or MCUs.
• Proficiency with Zephyr OS or RTOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware to integrate display pipeline with off-the-shelf displays.
• Interface firmware with hardware acceleration blocks and embedded DSPs.
• Develop PC-based test applications to demonstrate firmware functionality.
• Test firmware with hardware and document designs and performance analyses.
