Job summary

MitSix in San Jose, CA is seeking a Firmware Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded firmware for state-of-the-art products. You will work on C/C++ code for multiple processors, enhance graphics and display pipelines, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of embedded firmware experience, RTOS know-how, and a strong grasp of the full software lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++, with production firmware experience.
• Experience with RTOS and multi-threaded applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, and full software development lifecycle.
• Nice to have AR/VR, Graphics/Display knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust C/C++ code for embedded environments across multiple processors.
• Enhance firmware for graphics and display pipelines to meet product use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to tailor firmware and device drivers.
• Troubleshoot issues across software and hardware stack and implement fixes.
• Design and maintain unit and automated CI tests.
