Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to design and build embedded systems powering autonomous heavy machinery. You will develop firmware, drivers and HALs for a next-generation platform and enable interfaces to sensors, actuators and ECUs.

You will collaborate across firmware, electrical, robotics and field operations to solve real-time, safety-critical challenges and bring hardware from bring-up through production deployment. Competitive compensation and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or equivalent.
• 5+ years firmware or embedded-systems development experience.
• Strong embedded C++ programming for microcontrollers or embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firmware for a next-generation embedded hardware platform.
• Develop low-level drivers, HALs and system services.
• Build interfaces for sensors, actuators and ECUs.
• Work with CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART and other protocols.
• Develop deterministic real-time control paths.
• Lead firmware bring-up for new boards and hardware.
• Mentor other engineers on embedded development and debugging.
