Job summary

Invocon, Inc. in Texas seeks an Experienced Firmware Design Engineer to develop and refine firmware for aerospace, communications and sensing products. You’ll design, implement, and test firmware across multiple platforms and work with hardware and systems engineers to meet requirements.

The role emphasizes C/C++, ARM microcontrollers, OO design, and test automation. You’ll travel to customer sites as needed and contribute to sustaining existing firmware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years embedded firmware development experience.
• 3+ years C/C++ and/or assembly programming.
• 3+ years working through the full software lifecycle.
• 3+ years ARM, MicroBlaze, MSP430, PIC18, or CC111x is a plus.
• 2+ years OOP with C++ is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Firmware design and implementation including build system and linker scripts.
• Firmware testing including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with system engineers to collect requirements and verify functionality.
• Maintain and support existing firmware products and travel to customer sites as needed.
