Job summary

Solidigm is seeking a Firmware Architect to join a fast-paced team, developing firmware for SSD solutions in the Non-volatile Memory Solutions Group. You will lead architectural efforts, drive feature requirements, and develop firmware in C/C++.

The role requires deep expertise in SSD firmware tech including FTL, wear leveling, ECC, and power-loss protection, with collaborative engagement across ASIC, hardware, and validation teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of embedded firmware/software development experience, incl. 8+ years in SSD firmware or NAND flash storage.
• Leadership across cross-functional teams including ASIC, hardware, firmware, validation, product engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-domain system and product level technical leadership.
• Drive architectural requirements for new customer feature requests.
• Scope high-level architecture initiatives and feature assessments.
• Lead, develop, review, and document product source code in C/C++.
• Analyze, architect, and develop firmware per specs.
• Perform unit and system-level testing including failure analysis.
