Job summary

Solidigm is seeking a Firmware Architect to join a fast-paced SSD firmware team within the Non-volatile Memory Solutions Group. You will drive architectural requirements, lead system-level design, and develop firmware in C/C++ for Solidigm SSD products, collaborating with ASIC, hardware, and validation teams.

The role requires 8+ years in SSD firmware architecture, expertise in FTL/QoS/wear leveling, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SSD firmware architecture or NAND flash storage.
• Experience leading firmware architecture across cross-functional teams including ASIC, hardware, validation, and manufacturing.
• Expertise in SSD firmware technologies including FTL, QoS, wear leveling, garbage collection, ECC/error recovery, and power-loss protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, review, and document SSD firmware source code in C/C++.
• Architect and develop firmware per internal and external specifications.
• Coordinate priorities with hardware and ASIC teams to meet milestones.
• Perform unit and system-level testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Work within an Agile/Kanban environment to drive quality and continuous improvement.
