Job summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Firmware Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for our camera and imaging products on an embedded Linux platform. You will participate in the full software lifecycle from coding to system integration and debugging. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Linux kernel experience, and knowledge of networking/IoT.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality firmware are essential. Travel is None.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field; MS preferred.
- Strong C/C++ and OO design skills.
- Extensive Linux kernel and application development experience.
- Experience with networking and IoT.
- Familiar with embedded Linux software stacks and hardware interaction.
- Team-oriented with strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop firmware and software for embedded Linux camera products.
- Participate in full software lifecycle from design to debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Modify firmware to fit customer configurations and improve processes.
- Verify products against specifications and performance targets.
- Support deployment and field integration as needed.
