Job summary

Mecka is seeking an embedded Linux software engineer to turn cameras and sensors into reliable recording systems for robot learning. Your work spans from board bring-up to years of operation, preserving timing and data integrity in long recording sessions.

Bring depth in camera systems or device platforms, solving hardware-close problems where throughput, power, storage, and recovery must work together. You will work on ARM or comparable embedded hardware, with strong C/C++ and Python or shell

Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ skills with proven embedded development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or shell scripting for embedded workflows.
• Solid understanding of Linux processes, memory management, I/O, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience on ARM or similar embedded hardware.
• Ability to profile resource use, concurrency, timing, and data integrity.
• Experience building reproducible software releases and testing under hardware conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug embedded Linux software on real capture hardware from bring-up to deployment.
• Build reliable data paths that preserve recordings during long sessions and interruptions.
• Measure and improve system performance, power use, and recovery behavior.
• Reproduce field failures with hardware and test engineers, validating fixes across devices.
