Job summary
Panasonic Energy seeks a highly skilled Fire Systems Technician for our on-site facility in De Soto, Kansas, leading advanced inspections, testing, maintenance, and diagnostics of fire protection and life-safety systems. You will support the fire brigade and coordinate with internal teams and AHJ during testing and emergencies.
The role requires 4+ years in fire systems or emergency response, strong knowledge of electrical safety, and ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Fire Systems Technician, EMS/LE/FD, or related field; SCBA fit testing and firefighter physical clearance required.
- Ability to lift, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces.
- Capable of performing emergency response duties while wearing full PPE.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and system diagnostics on fire alarm, suppression, and life-safety systems.
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts for complex or high-impact system failures.
- Provide initial emergency response actions for thermal events and system activations.
- Interface with Authorities Having Jurisdiction during inspections and testing.
