Job summary

Panasonic Energy seeks a Facilities Fire Systems Technician – Level 5 to perform advanced inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire protection and life-safety systems across the De Soto site in Kansas. You will lead diagnostics, set technical standards, and support fire brigade activities as needed.

The role requires hands-on expertise, independent work, and collaboration with engineering, facilities, EHS, and contractors to ensure compliant and reliable operations.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a Fire Systems Technician or related field
Ability to lift, climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces
Proficient in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and manuals
Must read/write/speak English; OSHA 30/HAZWOPER & NFPA knowledge are preferred

Responsibilities

Perform advanced inspections, testing, maintenance, and diagnostics on fire protection systems
Lead technical troubleshoot for complex system failures
Provide technical oversight of contractor activities
Coordinate with AHJ and internal teams for inspections and testing
Maintain 6S and plant quality standards
Support PPE compliance and shift work requirements
