Job summary

Panasonic Energy in De Soto, Kansas, is expanding to build the world's largest lithium‑ion battery factory. We are seeking a Facilities Fire Systems Technician – Level 3 to inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire protection and life‑safety systems across the site, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with internal teams and contractors, review work for deficiencies, and participate in training and continuous improvement programs related to fire protection.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Fire Systems Technician or in a related field.
• Ability to lift, climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Basic electrical safety knowledge and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Experience with low-voltage systems (fire alarm, security, building automation).
• Understanding of water-based fire protection systems and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm, suppression, and life-safety systems.
• Support safety compliance and review procedures in collaboration with teams and contractors.
• Assist in investigations and troubleshooting of system alarms and faults.
• Maintain maintenance records and daily issue logs.
• Provide access and technical support to contractors during inspections and testing.
