Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Service Technician to service and repair fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will handle calls from the Service Resource Center, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pump systems.

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in the sprinkler industry, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license and flexible hours, including weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of documented Fire Sprinkler industry service/repair experience.
• Computer/phone skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and mobile apps.
• Able to perform service on all water-based fire protection systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and ascertain equipment/system problems.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps).
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software, programs and manuals.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, stay organized, and work effectively alone.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
