Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to inspect, test, and repair commercial fire sprinkler systems in Phoenix, AZ. You will cut, groove, and install steel piping, replace components, and ensure NFPA compliance on-site using a company vehicle.

You will collaborate with facility managers and contractors, document findings, and stay current with NFPA 13/13D/13R guidelines while supporting life-safety infrastructure across projects.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cutting, threading, grooving, and installing steel piping materials for commercial facilities.
• Experience in applying NFPA codes in the field (NFPA 10, 12, 13, 17, 17A, 2001).
• Reading and interpreting MEP blueprints and identifying cross-system interdependencies.
• Mentoring Level I sprinkler fitters.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and retrofit fire sprinkler systems for tenant improvements and remodels.
• Cut, thread, groove, and install steel, CPVC piping materials.
• Install heads, hangers, valves, fittings, and system components.
• Perform system shutdowns, drain-downs, and restores safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with general contractors, building owners, and other trades on active job sites.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, breaks, damaged piping, faulty valves, and system components.
• Document repairs and communicate findings to supervisors and customers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system drawings.
• Maintain accurate time sheets, work orders, and inspection documentation.
