Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Tech to service all types of NFPA-based systems and components. You will inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair sprinklers, pumps, and valves, and document findings clearly for AHJ and customers.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in fire and life safety, an active Sprinkler Apprentice enrollment, and the ability to read design drawings while using proper trade tools. Travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry.
• Enrolled in Sprinkler Apprentice Program.
• Knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action systems, backflows, and fire pumps.
• Ability to read and install from fire system drawings.
• Ability to use trade tools for pipe fitting safely.
• OSHA safety knowledge; able to obtain OSHA 10.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wet, dry, pre-action, fire pumps, and standpipes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair/ replacement of components.
• Diagnose problems and implement fixes.
• Test and verify system functionality per NFPA and local codes.
• Complete detailed reports for tests and inspections.
• Maintain documentation, tags, and AHJ/customer reports.
