Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Texas is seeking a Sprinkler Install Superintendent to oversee multiple fire sprinkler installation projects, large crews, and tight schedules.

This role combines hands-on fieldwork with strong leadership, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Travel to job sites as required; a high school diploma and 6+ years in the fire and life safety industry are required, with NICET certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
• Must have experience in a supervisory role.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation practices and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple jobs and/or crews in installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate complex projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technicians, leads, and apprentices.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Manage job site logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve documentation and installation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with customers, leadership, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
