Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to perform building sprinkler inspections, test devices, and generate detailed reports. You will support the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager with data collection and documentation to ensure accurate records.

Ideal candidates have an RME-I license, 5+ years in fire sprinkler systems, and NICET certification, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Local travel and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• RME-I license required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
• NFPA standards knowledge; stay current with code changes; NICET certifications.
• Excellent written and oral communication; customer service oriented.
• Team-oriented; sprinkler experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with test equipment and Palm handheld devices; PC skills including Outlook/Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sprinkler inspections and test devices.
• Record results and generate Sprinkler Inspection Reports.
• Assist Lead Inspector/Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork.
• Download inspection data and finalize reports.
• Attend monthly team meetings and adhere to safety policies.
