Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes while documenting results.

Travel to job sites as required and support apprentices as needed; the role requires strong technical competency and the ability to work without direct supervision. This position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a nationwide fire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• RME-I is required for the role.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
