Job summary

Total Fire Protection in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. This full-time role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will conduct regular inspections of sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge), identify deficiencies, and prepare detailed reports. You’ll interpret NFPA/IFC codes and coordinate with owners, contractors, and our service crew to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (NFPA, IFC, IBC).
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• NICET or Florida equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems (sprinklers, fire pumps, standpipes).
• Identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and test results.
• Interpret and apply NFPA, IFC and local regulations.
• Communicate inspection results to building owners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality service delivery.
• Stay up to date on fire protection technologies and regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
