Job summary

Total Fire Protection in Florida is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector to join our team across multiple locations. This role involves inspecting and testing both sprinkler and fire alarm systems, upholding NFPA standards, and documenting findings for client and internal records.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fire protection with NICET or equivalent credentials, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• State and/or National certifications, where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IFC, IBC.
• 2+ years' experience inspecting/ installing fire alarm systems.
• 2 years experience with CCTV, Intrusion & Card Access preferred.
• Must have NICET or Florida equivalent.
• Backflow Testing Certification and Repair Licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems including sprinklers, pumps, and standpipes.
• Identify deficiencies and provide corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings, tests and recommendations.
• Interpret and apply NFPA, IFC, and local codes and standards.
• Communicate inspection results with owners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery.
• Stay updated on fire protection technologies and regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
