HGI is actively seeking Fire Protection Lead and Senior Lead Engineers for remote-friendly, high-impact projects. You will own complex designs, mentor growing teams, and provide technical leadership across fire alarm, sprinkler, and smoke control systems.

Ideal candidates bring PE licensure, 5+ years of experience (10+ for Senior Lead), and a proven track record in critical facilities. Collaboration with clients and regulators is essential in a remote-enabled setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related fields.
• PE License in Fire Protection is required for Senior Lead candidates.
• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience, with 10+ years for Senior Lead leadership.
• Experience on high-stakes industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, data centers, or industrial facilities.
• Strong technical foundation with multi-project management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection engineering tasks from concept to completion with safety compliance.
• Develop and oversee fire alarm, sprinkler, and smoke control designs.
• Perform hazard analyses, code research, hydraulic calculations, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire protection.
• Review documents and drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide design guidance and career development.
• Participate in site visits, installation reviews, and commissioning support.
• Support development of new methodologies and stay at the forefront of advancements.
