Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Fire Protection Engineer for the Chandler, AZ Fab 62 project. You will perform field walkdowns, review documents, and ensure installed systems meet project criteria.

You will lead design reviews with subcontractors and customers, troubleshoot field issues, and support scope development with engineering management. The role requires 10+ years of experience in fire protection/plumbing, NFPA knowledge, and strong coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required or international equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience; up to 12 years in lieu of degree.
• Proven knowledge of NFPA standards, fire protection and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform field walkdowns and assess installed mechanical systems to verify scope.
• Lead design review meetings with subcontractors, suppliers and customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at the jobsite to meet project specs.
• Develop project scope with engineering management and identify key quantities.
• Support project model reviews and coordinate with other disciplines.
