Weston & Sampson in New England seeks an experienced Fire Protection Mechanical Engineer to lead design for new construction and renovations. You'll mentor junior staff, deliver code-compliant solutions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices and clients.

The role emphasizes independent project management from concept through construction documents, field investigations, and coordinating with vendors and utility partners, with travel across New England.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure in the United States.
• Experience designing fire protection systems including pumps, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD or equivalent 3D design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for new construction and renovation projects.
• Manage projects from concept to completion with site investigations and reports.
• Provide technical leadership applying codes and industry standards.
• Coordinate across disciplines with engineers, clients, and vendors.
• Oversee multiple projects and maintain schedules and deliverables.
