Ramboll is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in Charlotte, NC, to lead the design of fire protection systems for industrial facilities within our Advanced Manufacturing division.

You will develop performance-based designs, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and support construction through shop drawing review and permitting. A PFP license, extensive NFPA/IFC/IBC knowledge, and 10+ years of experience are required.

Formación

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in specification and design of fire protection systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, International Fire Code, and International Building Code.
• Licensure as a Professional Fire Protection Engineer is required.
• Ability to foster a creative engineering environment.
• Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop designs for fire suppression, detection, and signaling systems for industrial facilities.
• Develop performance-based design specifications and code analyses.
• Participate in up-front conceptual design studies with fire protection design criteria and layouts.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated designs.
• Support post-design activities including shop drawings review and permitting assistance.
• Evaluate fire protection systems in existing buildings.
• Develop written reports detailing code summaries and design basis.
• Participate in project meetings from concept to as-built documentation.
