Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing Division. You will design fire suppression, detection, and signaling systems for industrial facilities, adhering to NFPA, IFC, and IBC codes, and coordinate with other disciplines.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong communication and AutoCAD/Revit skills. A comprehensive benefits package and competitive base salary are offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in specification and design of fire protection systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, IFC, and IBC.
• Licensure as a Professional Fire Protection Engineer is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for fire suppression, detection, and signaling systems for industrial facilities.
• Develop performance based design specifications and code analyses.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for integrated designs.
• Participate in post-design activities including review shop drawings and permitting assistance.
• Develop technical reports detailing code summaries and design basis.
• Participate in project meetings across the project lifecycle.
