Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
• Licensure as a Professional Fire Protection Engineer is required.
• 10+ years of experience in specification and design of fire protection systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, IFC, and IBC.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Aufgaben

• Develop designs for fire suppression, detection, and signaling systems for industrial facilities.
• Develop performance-based design specifications and code analyses.
• Participate in upfront design studies with fire protection criteria and layouts.
• Create performance-based specs for hazardous occupancies in manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated life-safety designs.
• Review shop drawings, assist with permitting and construction support.
• Evaluate fire systems in existing buildings.
• Assist with hazardous materials assessments.
• Prepare technical reports on code summaries and design basis.
• Participate in project meetings across all phases.
