Cherokee Federal is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to provide detailed analyses and designs for fire protection systems on DoD facilities, including sprinkler, detection, and mass notification. The role involves preparing code analyses, developing plans with AutoCAD, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering, 8+ years of system design experience, a current PE license, and CAC eligibility.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of fire protection system design experience.
• Active PE license in fire protection engineering.
• Advanced degrees may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of facility fire protection codes/criteria.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• CAC access or ability to obtain CAC.
• Must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications.

Mansioni

• Prepare Building Code and Life Safety Code analyses for fire protection systems.
• Design and plan fire detection, mass notification and suppression systems.
• Review drawings, specs, and cost estimates for DoD facilities.
• Analyze egress and construction type for existing/proposed changes.
• Draft technical reports on fire protection topics.
• Provide fire protection expertise for designs and calculations.
• Perform peer reviews of fire protection designs against codes.
• Support cost estimation and development of DoD standards.
• Review Air Force documentation and submittals.
