Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to support fire and life safety systems on site. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a range of fire protection systems in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED with multiple years of hands-on experience, NICET/FASA certifications, and CMMS proficiency. Occasional off-shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in fire and life safety systems.
• At least 4 years of CMMS experience managing work orders.
• NICET certification.
• FASA certification.
• Must possess or obtain a final adjudicated Top-Secret U.S. Government clearance when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire and life safety systems.
• Diagnose system issues and perform on-site troubleshooting and programming modifications; oversee vendor repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable codes; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors; develop scopes of work; arrange outages and site access; ensure timely completion.
• Maintain detailed service reports and documentation; manage spare parts stock.
