Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day maintenance operations, supervise in-house technicians, and ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective facility performance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on leadership, strong planning, and problem-solving skills, with CMMS experience (Maximo) and a Top Secret clearance requirement. This on-site role offers collaboration with multiple teams and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 5+ years facilities maintenance management experience or 3+ years with advanced degrees
• Experience using CMMS/work-order systems and maintenance planning/scheduling
• Experience with safety practices/regulations for facility operations, and MS Office skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maintenance team with daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS (Maximo)
• Maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, elevators) to uptime targets
• Oversee vendor/contractor work, manage service contracts, and obtain bids
• Support safety programs and drive a safety-first culture
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Track maintenance KPIs (PM completion, response time, backlog, uptime)
• Assist budgeting, parts inventory, and procurement for maintenance activities
• Support facility projects with minimal operational disruption
• Maintain compliance with codes and standards (OSHA, NFPA)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize future projects
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce lifecycle costs
