Job summary

SpaceX in Pennsylvania is seeking a Sr. Fire & Life Safety Program Specialist to own the fire protection lifecycle for our industrial campus.

You will manage maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systems, and serve as the technical authority on design and programming. You will partner with EHS, coordinate with vendors and AHJ, review submittals, and help drive emergency readiness, impairment management, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems
• 7+ years of experience in fire alarm and/or fire suppression system design, installation, programming, or maintenance
• 3+ years of experience in project or program management of fire protection or facilities construction projects

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance, reliability, and upgrade program for existing industrial fire alarm systems across the site, including inspection, testing, and maintenance per NFPA 72 and NFPA 25
• Provide project management for new installations of fire suppression and sprinkler systems, from small-scope to multi-million-dollar projects
• Review and approve fire alarm and suppression system designs, submittals, and shop drawings; perform in-house design and programming for small changes
• Direct troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems with contractors; ensure timely response and cost control
• Identify and mitigate fire hazards (battery storage, energetic materials, etc.) and drive controls with EHS
• Drive emergency readiness, impairment management, and incident investigations with AHJ and security
• Ensure compliance with building and fire codes; maintain documentation and ITM records
• Engage AHJ, fire marshal, and insurers; manage permitting, plan review, and testing
