HDR is seeking a Senior Fire & Life Safety Specialist to design complex fire protection and life safety systems for diverse facilities. You will lead projects, develop drawings, and ensure compliance with NFPA and relevant codes.

The role emphasizes leadership within HDR's employee-owned culture, collaborating across disciplines to deliver safe, sustainable, and innovative built environments.

Qualifications

15+ years Fire & Life Safety design experience preferred.
Experience with architectural/engineering consulting is a plus.
Advanced NFPA, ICC certifications or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

Develop non-routine Fire Protection and Life Safety designs for facilities.
Lead projects in Fire & Life Safety discipline.
Create design drawings using CAD software.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
