Job summary
Johnson Controls in Mobile, AL is seeking experienced inspectors to conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical and life-safety product lines. You will work with low voltage wiring, input and archive inspection data, and perform minor repairs as needed.
The role requires 5+ years in low voltage systems, strong troubleshooting, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- 5+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and /or Life Safety Systems experience required.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in ladders, scaffolding, or high lift up to 40 feet.
- Willing to travel and work weekends when required.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines.
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices.
- Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding.
- Maintain a structured inspection schedule.
- Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop or mobile device.
- Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems.
- Provide training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
