Job summary

Jensen Hughes, a market-leading forensic investigation company, is seeking a Senior Fire Investigator to join our team in Ireland. You will investigate the origin and cause of fires, collect evidence, and deliver robust reports and expert testimony where required.

You will travel across Ireland and the UK, maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, and contribute to marketing and training activities as needed. A strong background in fire investigation and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and/or qualifications in fire investigation or other related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to apply scientific approaches to forensic examination.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present information clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel across Ireland and the UK; driver’s licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend incident scenes, document evidence, interview witnesses.
• Investigate origin, cause and development of complex cases.
• Liaise with experts and other parties; produce detailed technical reports.
• Provide expert witness evidence when required.
• Utilise case management systems to record activity; adhere to SLA.
• Attend joint examinations and engage specialists as needed.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and research.
