Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Lead Fire Engineer for its Health sector. You will design advanced building systems, prepare design documents, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will mentor staff and contribute to business development and risk management activities. The role requires a PE license, a strong background in fire protection engineering, and proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering and 9 years of relevant experience or 10 years of experience with high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• PE license required and may be counted toward 1 year of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, codes, and industry standards; sustainability certifications (LEED, CDP, WELL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct the preparation of design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Lead project and design efforts from concept through completion.
• Mentor and supervise designers/engineers and provide technical guidance.
