Job summary

Sobieski Life Safety, Newark, DE, is seeking a full-time Senior Fire Alarm Technician to lead installation, programming, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. This role requires expertise in NFPA standards and coordination with clients, inspectors, and project teams.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II or III in Fire Alarm Systems highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of NFPA regulations, National Electric Code, and OSHA requirements and other applicable regulations.
• Prior experience in programming of low voltage systems required.
• Proven ability to install and program Fire Alarm Systems.
• Prior experience working with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Honeywell Notifier Fire Alarm systems, Simplex, Gamewell FCI, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite systems) is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of Hardwired systems, Class A and Class B.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen with a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Senior Fire Alarm Technician leads installation, programming, configuration, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA standards.
• Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and project teams for system integration and commissioning.
• Play a key role in business development by helping to land bids and cultivate ongoing client relationships.
• Ensure that all systems meet regulatory requirements and operate reliably to protect life and property.
