Job summary

Sobieski Life Safety in Newark, DE is hiring a Senior Fire Alarm Technician for a full-time role focused on installation, programming, and service of fire alarm systems. You will coordinate with clients and inspectors, ensure NFPA compliance, and aid in business development to maintain project pipelines.

The position requires NICET certification, knowledge of NFPA and electrical codes, and experience with major fire alarm manufacturers.

Qualifications

NICET Level II or III in Fire Alarm Systems highly desirable.
Strong understanding of NFPA regulations, National Electric Code, and OSHA requirements and other applicable regulations.
Prior experience in programming of low voltage systems required.
Proven ability to install and program Fire Alarm Systems.
Prior experience working with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Honeywell Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell FCI, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, programming, configuration, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems.
Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and project teams to ensure compliance and smooth execution.
Assist in business development by helping to land bids and cultivate client relationships.
Ensure all systems meet regulatory requirements and operate reliably to protect life and property.
