Job summary

NVE is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician with at least five years of hands-on experience in installing, testing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial fire detection and life-safety systems to ensure full compliance with safety codes. Core hours are 0700 to 1530, Monday through Friday, with additional hours and after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on work with low-voltage wiring, electrical systems, or fire protection equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Strong customer service skills to explain system functions and report issues clearly to clients.

Responsibilities

• Install & setup fire alarm systems including mounting control panels and devices.
• Perform testing and inspection to ensure code compliance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in fire detection systems.
• Document service logs, test results, and inventory usage.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and support system modifications as needed.
